Bedfordshire Angel - Margaret
A Bedfordshire Angel pattern designed by Louise West - the latest in her Bedfordshire Angel designs. Named "Margaret" in memory of Margaret Tite who was Louise's first lace teacher and who introduced Louise to Bedfordshire lace. A stunning piece of lace to adorn your Christmas tree.
Some working instructions are provided however as this angel has been designed for the experienced lacemaker, less directions are provided and more interpretation is intended.
Approximate 80 pairs for the body and 50 pairs for the wings. The main flower on the body has 2 raised and rolled tallies on each petal and the hemline of the dress has ovelaid leaf tallies on each scallop.
Available in a paper version or a "ready to work" laser cut version (see second photograph). The laser cut version also comes with the working instructions as detailed above and an A5 coloured postcard of the finished item.
The "ready to work" option provides an incredibly accurate pricking complete with all markings. Absolutely nothing to do apart from putting it on your pillow and making the lace. Definitely saves a huge amount of time - this pattern has 2463 pre-pricked holes!
The lace shown in the photograph has been worked in Finca 60 thread and DMC Diament metallic thread
