by Catherine Channer & Anne Buck

This beautifully produced book incorporates a reprint of Miss Channer & M E Roberts' 1900 publication "Lace-making in the Midlands Past and Present" together with an appreciation, by Anne Buck, of the life and work of Catherine C Channer (1874-1949) as well as an additional section, also by Anne, describing aspects of lacemaking in the three Midlands lace counties from 1900.

As a young museum assistant at Luton, Anne Buck took private lessons from Miss Channer and was well acquainted with her attempts to keep lace alive during the 1940s.

Very well illustrated with good black and white photographs throughout.

In excellent, clean condition throughout.
