Point Ground Patterns from Australia
by Elwyn Kenn
This was the first of the author's popular series of books which featured Australian wildflowers, worked in Point Ground techniques. It presents patterns for about 22 projects
Almost all are incorporated into an edging - for a handkerchief, mat or to trim clothing - but a few are presented as bookmarks or in circular shapes suitable for trays, frames, etc.
The patterns are intended both for those who are new to Point Ground and for those who are experienced in the technique. A sound knowledge of bobbin lace techniques in general is assumed.
Clear prickings, photographs (some colour), detail working drawings and bobbin/thread recommendations throughout. Those at the beginning have text which introduces the techniques to those who need it.
